Rob Holder – Beverage Director
Rob Holder brings 16 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry to his role as Director of Beverage & Brand Development for JNK Concepts, the acclaimed restaurant group that encompasses the Roka Akor, Marigold Maison and Enolo Wine Café brands. Holder has played a vital role in the organization’s success by applying his marketing savvy and vast knowledge of the restaurant trade towards the expansion of the brands. He ensures expertise and consistency across all the locations he oversees in Scottsdale, Chicago, San Francisco and Houston, enthusiastically crafting a memorable customer experience and building each restaurant to its maximum potential.
Holder began building his proficiency in the food and beverage industry in 1999. Working under the direction of his mentor Paul Carter, Holder accepted his first position as a wine and spirits manager for Barcelona Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona in 2000. He went on to assist with beverage programs at several Valley establishments and began to translate his previous marketing experience with a Fortune 500 company to the world of wine and spirits.
In 2008, Holder launched his tenure with JNK Concepts as a beverage consultant; he soon joined the team fulltime, where he embraced the opportunity to hone in on his true passion for wine and spirits in a unique fine dining atmosphere. He invigorated the beverage program by working with resident talent to integrate locally inspired products and ingredients. His focus on developing solid relationships allowed JNK Concepts to carry exclusive items that couldn’t be found elsewhere. Going even further, he pursued certification as a Sake Professional by the Sake Education Council and established himself as a judge for the Los Angeles International Wine competition.
His multi-faceted skill set quickly positioned him as an asset for JNK Concepts beyond the scope of Beverage Director. Holder’s impressive knowledge of wine, beer and spirits plus his marketing aptitude led to a natural expansion of his role to include Brand Development. His passion and flair for food, wine and spirits are evident in this hybrid role, where he is known to inspire guests through the people and products he brings to each concept. His constant motivation is making sure that each and every guest walks away having had not just a meal, but an experience – one worth talking about and returning to again and again.
